Services
A clear purpose. An agreed scope.
Each request is assessed for lawful purpose, conflicts, safety, available resources, and fit with my experience. Services are accepted only within an agreed written scope. Services considered after consultation.
01 — Background Investigations
Purpose-specific background research using lawfully available and authorized sources, with attention to identity matching, corroboration, and source limitations.
Scope and limits: Employment, housing, credit, insurance, or other eligibility screening requires a separate compliance review before acceptance.
02 — Public and State Records Searches
Research of available public records and Oregon state records relevant to an agreed question.
Scope and limits: Access depends on the record, legal restrictions, and actual account permissions; confidential, sealed, or protected records are not automatically available.
03 — Social Media Investigations
Research and documentation of lawfully accessible social media information relevant to a case. Findings are assessed in context and do not establish identity or authenticity by themselves.
Scope and limits: No unauthorized account access or circumvention of privacy controls.
04 — Witness Location
Lawful efforts to locate potential witnesses for attorneys, agencies, or other appropriate clients. Requests and proposed disclosures are screened for safety and lawful purpose.
Scope and limits: A location or a witness’s participation cannot be guaranteed.
05 — Witness Interviews and Statements
Voluntary witness interviews and documentation of statements, including formal case-related statements when appropriate. Recording, consent, representation, and disclosure requirements are assessed before work begins.
Scope and limits: A statement is not automatically sworn, independently verified, or admissible in court.
06 — Evidence Preparation and Case Organization
Organization of lawfully obtained records, witness information, timelines, and other materials for review by retaining counsel or an authorized client. Sources and limitations are documented.
Scope and limits: Evidence is preserved rather than altered; admissibility and legal strategy remain matters for counsel and the court.
07 — Process Service and Subpoena Delivery
Service attempts for subpoenas and other authorized legal documents, subject to the applicable court rules, document requirements, deadlines, and agreed service area. Attempts and completed service are documented as required.
Scope and limits: Acceptance does not guarantee successful service or authorize issuing a subpoena.
08 — Child Custody Case Support
Impartial fact gathering, records research, and appropriate witness support for custody-related matters, with attention to court orders, privacy, and child welfare.
Scope and limits: This service does not include legal advice, a custody evaluation, or a promise about parenting arrangements. Child interviews require separate authority, qualification, and coordination review.
09 — Missing Person Locates
Lawful research and follow-up intended to help locate missing people, with appropriate coordination with law enforcement when needed.
Scope and limits: This service does not replace an official missing-person report or emergency response. Finding an adult does not automatically authorize disclosure of their location or contact information.
Some requests are declined or referred
Not every request is a fit. Some requests need a referral or cannot be accepted — for example, when the purpose, authority, safety picture, or available resources do not support the work. How that assessment works, and what I will decline.
